I am now highly pissed off and wish to rant on because of the absolute rubbish ive been reading.

I have not been very happy in the fact that over a long while Video Games are an aparant cause of of violence in youths and alsohow violent television causes some one to become more aggressive.

There results are weak at best yet they still herald them as "New condeming evidence" these surveys also have such indications as one I have just read.
"Viewing a group of 8 year old boys we found that more of the children who viewed alot of television were more aggrssive than those who didnt, omited results include; education of parents, parents overall responsibility to the child and the childs IQ."
Your telling me that because a child has parents who didnt go to university or college they can be allowed as being more aggressive why? whats the reasoning behind this? Please I would like this explained if any one can.

These surveys prove nothing of the sort. You could carry out a survey deciding that people who eat mint ice cream are more aggressive than those who eat strawberry. Or that watching violent TV means you are more likely to have an extra biscuit.

People who play video games might be a little warped ive been playing them since I was around 6/7 yes ok I do have a fascination in weaponary and armour yes. I like things more darker than others so what?!

Am I the one on your street corner drinking cheap alcohol and throwing bricks through old peoples windows? No im sat at my PC playing video games or watching TV.

If anything Video Games are an outlet for agression, if im upset or angry I play a video game and do something that is totally against reality, and in doing so I feel better and dont feel the need to grab the nearest person and throw their head into a wall.
Video games are an amusment tool we do things that are not likely to happen in real life.We enjoy the violence in the game yes but that is because we are feeding a primal insticinct but we are nto venting this insticint in publc or upon some one else [unless your playing online.]

I really do not think that Video Games should be classed as an evil that causes more agression its a vent for agression not a builder. Much the same as people blame music and appearance for the likeliness of agression and violent acts.

There was one point about two 15year olds a boy and a girl who where over heard talking about death threats. They instantly ignored that this could be anything other than out of context for the boy because he got "good grades" and was a very keen student.
They instantly thought it was majorly a problem with the girl because she wore black and had white makeup.
